Terms of Service
Effective October 2, 2026. An agreement between you and the developer of Tipper ("I", "me", "my"). By installing the app or subscribing, you accept these terms.
1. What Tipper is
A personal record-keeping tool for delivery drivers. Using Android's accessibility service, it records information displayed on your own screen in the DoorDash Dasher app, plus your phone's location while you dash if you allow it, and stores it locally on your device for your private use. On the delivery-complete screen it also taps the collapsed tip row open so the tip can be read, and taps it again if the row has not opened. It performs no other action inside the Dasher app: it does not accept, decline, or respond to offers. If you turn on its optional "Offer pay & no-tipper alerts", Tipper can show a pop-up over the Dasher app that compares an offer's pay with your own past offers, and a banner when a drop-off matches an address your own record shows as not tipped, or one you asked to be warned about. These only display information; they do not tap anything in the Dasher app.
2. Not affiliated with DoorDash — and your responsibility
Tipper is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by DoorDash, Inc. "DoorDash" and "Dasher" are trademarks of DoorDash, Inc., used only to describe compatibility.
You are party to your own agreements with DoorDash, which may contain terms about automated data collection or third-party software. You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to use Tipper consistent with them. We make no representation that your use of Tipper is permitted by DoorDash, and I am not responsible for any action DoorDash takes regarding your account.
3. License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Tipper on up to two Android devices you own, for your own delivery work. Insights (including Where to dash next), the Tip map and the Offer speed map also need a valid license key (from a subscription or the free trial). The app re-checks the key online when you open it (every few days); if the key hasn't been confirmed for 14 days, those features pause until you open the app with a connection and the key is confirmed. The in-app update check and its notice work with or without a subscription. You may not redistribute, resell, rent, or share the app or your download access.
4. Trial, subscription, and billing
- The free trial is the full app for 30 days. A payment method is collected at checkout and your license key is issued immediately; the first charge happens on day 31 unless you cancel before then. Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged. If your subscription ends, Insights (including Where to dash next, and its tip, Prop 22 and mileage summaries), the Tip map and the Offer speed map lock — but ending a subscription never deletes anything you've recorded; it stays on your device and is waiting if you return. They also pause if your key hasn't been re-checked online for 14 days, and unlock again, without re-entering the key, the next time you open the app with a connection and the key is still valid.
- The subscription is $9.99/month, billed in advance and auto-renewing until cancelled. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your full card details.
- Cancel anytime — access continues to the end of the paid cycle. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next cycle.
5. Updates and "it might break"
DoorDash can change its Dasher app at any time. When that happens, Tipper's automatic capture can stop working in part or whole until I release a fix. I commit to honest effort, not guaranteed turnaround. Deliveries already saved to your history are not changed or deleted by such breakage.
6. Your data, your device
Tipper stores its data on your device. You're responsible for backups (the app keeps its last three daily backups on the phone itself, which uninstalling removes and which are lost with the phone, and offers export — use it). Apart from anything you choose to send me yourself, such as a log you email me from the app's Settings, we have no copy of the deliveries, tips and other records Tipper keeps on your phone, so we cannot recover them if the device or app data is lost.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Tipper to violate anyone's privacy or the law. The customer information it records is shown to you by DoorDash to do your job — keep it private and don't republish it.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. I DO NOT WARRANT THAT CAPTURE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR UNINTERRUPTED. STATISTICS AND ESTIMATES (INCLUDING MILEAGE AND PROP 22 FIGURES) ARE INFORMATIONAL AND NOT FINANCIAL, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I AM NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR PLATFORM DEACTIVATION. MY TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID ME IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
10. Termination
You can stop using Tipper anytime. We may suspend or end access (with a refund of any unused time) if you breach these terms — e.g., redistributing the app. Sections 6–9 survive termination.
11. Changes and contact
I may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Questions: [email protected].
