Installing Tipper
It's a few taps more than a Play Store app. Here's the whole thing.
1. Download the APK
On your Android phone, tap the download button on this site. Chrome may warn that the file "can harm your device" — that's Android's standard message for any app from outside the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.
2. Open the file
Pull down your notifications and tap the completed download (or open the Files app → Downloads →
the tipper APK).
3. Allow the install
The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser: Settings → Install unknown apps → Chrome → Allow from this source. Then come back and tap Install. (You can switch that permission back off afterward.)
4. Turn on capture
Open Tipper → Settings (menu ☰) → tap Enable in accessibility settings. Find Tipper in Android's accessibility menu, toggle it On, and confirm.
Android shows a strong warning here — it's describing what accessibility permissions can do in general. Tipper's permission is scoped to the DoorDash Dasher app only, and everything it reads stays on your phone.
5. Optional — per-area maps
For the tip and offer-speed maps (not needed for tip capture), Tipper needs location: Settings → Enable location, then set it to Allow all the time (because Tipper records while the DoorDash app is the one on screen).
6. Dash
That's it. Do a delivery, and a few seconds after you mark it delivered you'll get a notification: Tip saved ✓ with the amount.
Updating Tipper
When an update is out, the app shows an Update available banner (we also email you). Tap it, download the new APK, install — it goes right over the old version and all your data stays. Do not uninstall first (that deletes your data unless you've exported a backup).
Your license key
There's just one app — no second download. When you start your trial on this site, your license key arrives by email right away. Open Tipper, paste the key into the unlock screen, and you're set: free for 30 days, then $9.99/month unless you cancel before day 31.
